Mac Mini M1
The Mac Mini M1 is fast and extremely efficient, especially on Asahi Linux. It produces our blocks inside its firewalled network.

Energy Efficiency                      ​          
The Mac Mini M1 consumes 7 watts and Raspberry Pi 4s consume a​round 5 watts each. For comparison, a regular desktop PC consumes 60 watts on average.

Operational security
Cryptographic operations are always performed on a strictly offline machine.

Network Security
All traffic to and from the block producer is encrypted through Wireguard, essentially making it inaccessible to the outside.

Cloud instances
Two Oracle ARM based instance run as extra relays in the EU to ensure fast block propagation in the network 

Backups
A large UPS battery and 4G network failover drastically lower the chance of downtime due to unlikely local outages.
