Armada Alliance

Seaside Staking is an official member of the Armada Alliance. The alliance was formed to achieve true decentralization by promoting and enabling the use of eco-friendly low power ARM and RISC-V processors. The most common example is the Raspberry Pi 4, which Seaside Staking uses for one public and one private relay. More information can be found here


Pool Setup

  • Mac Mini M1
    The Mac Mini M1 is fast and extremely efficient, especially on Asahi Linux. It produces our blocks inside its firewalled network. 
  • Raspberry Pis
    Two Raspberry Pi 4s run as relays to propagate blocks produced by the Mac Mini M1
  • Cloud instances
    An Oracle ARM based instance and and a regular Microsoft Azure instance run as extra relays in the EU and US to ensure fast block propagation in the network
  • Energy Efficieny                                
    The Mac Mini M1 consumes 7 watts and Raspberry Pi 4s consume around 5 watts each. For comparison, a regular desktop PC consumes 60 watts on average.
  • Network Security
    All traffic to and from the block producer is encrypted through Wireguard, essentially making it inaccessible to the outside. 
  • Backups
    A large UPS battery and 4G network failover drastically lower the chance of downtime due to unlikely local outages.
